Jacqui Dillon and Paula Reavey are delighted to announce that they have recently secured a contract with Routledge to publish an International Handbook of Lived Experience in the Context of Madness and Distress. This forthcoming volume will critically examine how and why Lived Experience practices and forms of knowledge operate across everyday, clinical, political, and academic contexts, as well as the challenges, tensions, and dialogues that arise from these intersections.
At this initial stage, they are seeking abstract submissions of up to 250 words from a diverse range of contributors, including activists, experts by experience, practitioners, and academics from across the globe.
If you are interested in contributing to this exciting project, they would love to hear from you! Please email livedexperiencehandbook@gmail.com to receive further details, including information about timelines, word length, remit, and the four major themes covered in the volume. They look forward to hearing your ideas and working together on this important and groundbreaking publication.
